Zimmerman Packing and Manufacturing is proud to present our revolutionary new Arch Punch MAXiSET: designed, engineered and quality manufactured to make cutting bolt holes and washers easier, safer and more efficient while providing clean accurate cuts. The Spearhead 130 Power Punch MAXISET is designed to give you MAXimum cutting power and MAXimum capabilities. The Spearhead 130 Power Punch MAXISET is the only arch punch set with a Centering Pin to allow you to cut concentric-accurate washers and provide for precise bolt hole spacing.

Each Complete MAXISET contains 13 black tempered special alloy steel Punches, with extremely durable finely honed

 

cutting edges, to cut all non-metallic gasket materials and all thin soft metals.

A super tough, impact absorbing Genuine Punch Pad is included with each MAXISET. Each Spearhead 130 Power Punch MAXISET is conveniently organized with the Punch sizes molded in the base of an impact and corrosion-resistant, double walled carrying case with handle.

A Starter MAXiSET containing 7 Punches is also available.

Photo, above: Changing of Punches is achieved in seconds by simply sliding the sleeve-unit back, removing the existing Punch and inserting the new Punch. By releasing the sleeve-unit, the new Punch is automatically locked in place.

 

Photo, upper and lower right: The Centering Pin provides a center point for the Punches, whether making concentric- accurate washers or bolt holes. First, establish the center point by sliding the Power Punch, loaded with the larger diameter Punch over the Centering Pin, Then, pierce the material with the Pin.

 

Remove the Centering Pin and cut the outside diameter by striking the Power Punch with a hammer. Next, remove the larger diameter Punch and insert the smaller size Punch required for the washer’s inside diameter. Slide the Centering Pin through the Power Punch and into the washer’s center point. Hold the Punch firmly against the material, then remove the Centering Pin and strike the Power Punch with a hammer. The result is a concentric-accurate washer.

 

Caution: Never hit the Centering Pin with a hammer.

achieved by the shorter shaft length provides greater stability, a more balanced grip and
concentrates power at the finely honed cutting edge of the punch. 		 
The larger striking surface provides an easier target,
minimizing miss-hits and hammer face damage while allowing for

The Centering Pin is blackoxided,
corrosion-resistant and

machined to necessary close tolerances. It slides to a perfect fit to provide extremely accurate washers and bolt hole spacing.

 
The exclusive “Snap-Lock” quick release and locking mechanism
allows easychanging of punches
in seconds. A spring-loaded
sleeve-unit surrounds the punch
chamber. Detented, steel ball bearings fit into a machined channel in each punch, locking the punch in place.
 
 

 

      
 
Sizes are marked on the punches and case for easy identification. The length of each punch is engineered to provide an unobstructed view of the location of the hole to be
punched while maintaining the lowest center of gravity possible for increased stability.
Size tolerances: +/- .005”
   

The unique step-relief increases clearance, automatically ejecting
wads and eliminating the need to stop production to clear

GENUINE PUNCH PAD
  This super tough, molded blue Genuine Punch Pad is specifically engineered and manufactured for long life and ease-of-use in the toughest working environments. The corners are rounded to prevent snagging and both abrasion-resistant surfaces are textunzed to prevent annoying sliding of the material being cut. This unique 3/8” thick (test-proven to be the most efficient thickness) x 7-1/2 x 3-3/4” Genuine Punch Pad has been specially compounded with costly polymers to absorb impact and eliminate any “bounce.” Impact absorption allows full transmission of the impact force, making each strike more power-packed to reduce the number of strikes needed to cut the material. Other special polymers add longer life and reduce dulling of the punch’s cutting edge. A 7-1/2” square Spearhead 1375 Genuine Punch Pad with the same exclusive properties is also available.
