ARCH PUNCH
TESTED TOUGH! PROVED
TOUGH!
Accelerated abusive
test of 25,000 steel hammer blows
on a steel surface...proved no structural failure!
|
A
truly superior Arch Punch! |
The
high performance and construction features of this Spearhead
"Life-Time" Arch Punch make it a tool that
is stronger, tougher, and more durable...easily lasting
a "lifetime"...even generations...using ANY
hammer. The finely honed cutting edge makes clean,
smooth cuts from any material, while the inside taper of
the barrel automatically clears punchings.
Virtually indestructible, this "Life-Time"
Arch Punch is made to exacting specifications from
one-piece tool steel drop-forging. It is far
superior to any fabricated, two-piece welded
punch. Its superior arch is a time-honored
structural design that provides natural strength and
endurance. |

ARCH
STRUCTURE: This type of arch structure
provides a very smooth path for the flow of the impact
force from the handle to the cutting barrel, unlike
others, which force the load through two corners
creating large material stresses in these regions.
LARGE RADII CONNECTING THE ARCH TO THE CUTTING
BARREL: The large radii connecting the arch of
the cutting barrel provide a smoothing of the load flow
into the cutting barrel reducing localized stress
concentrations.
DROP-FORGED CONSTRUCTION: The arch's
structural abilities in this type of impact loading is
further enhanced by the drop-forging process used in the
punch's manufacture. This curved shape and
drop-forging process more efficiently aligns the
molecular structure of the material itself to improve
and aid in smoothing the flow of the impact load to the
cutting barrel.
